Hi all,

This is to let you know that Las Cruces will be home again this spring to the production of Eve Ensler's play, The Vagina Monologues.  Each year the production of this play is used to raise millions of dollars around the globe for non-profit organizations fighting for women's rights to live free from sexual violence, poverty, and other world problems that disproportionately affect women.  This year the beneficiaries of the Las Cruces Vagina Monologues will be Amigos, La Piñon Rape Crisis Center, & the W.A.V.E. program at NMSU, an organization that works to educate the NMSU campus around issues of problem drinking, violence against women on campus, etc.

There will be three showings of this play this February, as well as an accompanying rally and protest for women's issues in our community here in Las Cruces on FEBRUARY 14TH, V-DAY.

 We will be holding a planning meeting for this upcoming event Saturday, January 21st, at 4pm, Hardman Hall room 106 on the NMSU campus. 

This is a meeting to help organize a demonstration to be held at 5pm on the corner of Espina & University Ave., as people are driving home from work and before the final showing of the Vagina Monologues.
