The annual production of Eve Ensler's play, THE VAGINA MONOLOGUES, took place in Las Cruces (New Mexico, USA) on Valentines Day, raising money for the femicide in Juarez. There are two more opportunities to see the play this Saturday and Sunday.
All of the play's proceeds benefit local non-profit groups advocating for an end to violence against women and children. This year's main beneficiary of the Las Cruces production is Amigos de las Mujeres de Juarez (Friends of the Women of Juarez), a group that works with family-based justice organizations in Ciudad Juarez, Chihuahua, to bring resolution to the decade-long string of serial killings of women and girls in the state of Chihuahua, Mexico.
